More than 200 Attend Girls' Night Out!

Girls' Night Out, which was held on Oct. 4, brought together more than 200 women for an evening of health, fun, excitement, laughter, and fashion. The evening featured cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, and a fashion show by AKIRA in Chicago and Thierry Roger Couturier, a Chicago fashion designer specializing in custom-made clothes. Girls' Night Out also featured giveaways and raffle prizes, including a $250 gift certificate from Thierry Roger for a custom-made blouse. The grand-raffle prize was a David Yurman bracelet.

Guests attended a health education session, "Hugging Your Curves," which was presented by Frederick M. Tiesenga, MD, FACS, director and board-certified surgeon at the Chicago Institute of Advanced Bariatrics. Guests received free screenings for cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes, body mass index and bone density. They also scheduled appointments for mammograms and bone-density (DEXA) scans.
