On the first Thursday of every month, unless noted otherwise, Dr. Rami Lutfi, medical director of The Chicago Institute of Advanced Bariatrics, leads a seminar on the benefits and risks of bariatric surgery.

Dr. Lutfi typically covers:

• How to determine if you are a candidate for bariatric surgery
• The surgical options open to you and the benefits of each
• The lifestyle changes necessary for weight-loss success
• How to get started

Seminars are held in the Manor Classroom of the Manor Building at Saint Joseph Hospital at 2900 Lakeshore Drive, Chicago, Illinois. Valet service is available at the main entrance of the hospital. Parking is also available in the visitor parking facility next to the hospital.
